The Tsechen Kunchab Ling Library specializes in books about Buddhism and Tibetan and Himalayan Culture for both adults and children. It was consecrated by His Holiness the 41st Sakya Trichen on April 19, 2014, and dedicated to his vision of preserving and promoting the religion, language, and culture of Tibetan Buddhism. It contains over 3500 items in English and Tibetan, with a small but growing selection of books in Chinese and other Himalayan languages. Recently, the library has been expanded, the collection enlarged, with new displays of Himalayan art and cultural artifacts.
Tsechen Kunchab Ling Library is open from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm every day, and the public is welcome for research, study, or browsing. The library offers a variety of regular programs both in person and online and also offers occasional joint programs with the local Josephine-Louise Public Library in Walden, New York.
