Digital Dharma – Video – Tuesday, September 8 at 7:30 pm NY time. The late E. Gene Smith, bodhisattva, scholar, and librarian made it his life’s work to rescue Tibetan Dharma texts after the devastation of so many temples in Tibet. Over the course of his life, he assembled hundreds of thousands of texts, digitized them, and made them available online for practitioners and scholars around the world. Contemporary scholarship in Buddhist studies owes its existence to his efforts. 90 minutes.

Memories and Photos of the Great Library in Sakya Monastery, Tibet – Thursday, September 10 at 8:00 pm NY time. Venerable Khenpo Khenrab Woser, who studied for many years at Sakya Monastery in Tibet will show photos and talk about this amazing collection of tens of thousands of ancient Buddhist texts, ranging from enormous books written in gold ink, to ancient fragile palm leaves.
